THE SQUEEZE – See it!

Posted in Reviews, Videos by on April 6th, 2015

An unusual game of golf around town between three friends sets the stage for an unordinary plot or maybe not. Who knows the extent of Unknown-3gambling for income by professional golfers? The Squeeze is a lighthearted film about the highs and lows of high stakes gambling; all about money games, power, good versus evil, and in between, just lives and of course golf.

A hustler of dreams, nicknamed “Riverboat”, is the antagonist who exploits the talent of a young prodigy, Auggie, for self-gain and the promise of bigger and bigger payouts as each prize and competitive skill level is increased. Auggie is a young, extremely talented golf pro with little means to pursue his dream of winning the U.S. Open. Family and values intertwine with possibilities of fortune and misfortune.

There are little twists throughout and a big turn at the end. While the

premise might seem questionable, it is a very serious story based on actual events. Stick with it and you will not be disappointed.

From Beau Rivage to Wynn, winning at golf takes on new meaning for Auggie. In this case what happened in Vegas is coming to the screen on April 17. Jack Nicklaus and Phil Mickelson are among Pro golfers who have previewed and commented on the movie. “I watched THE SQUEEZE and really enjoyed it,” said Jack Nicklaus, winner of 18 Major Golf Championships.  “It’s a fun movie that tells an interesting story, and the golf elements are so real you actually believe it could happen.”

“THE SQUEEZE is a wonderful golf movie because it’s so authentic,” said Five Time Major Championship Winner, Phil Mickelson.  “It hooks

you in the beginning and stays interesting and entertaining right to the end. I’m looking forward to seeing it again.”

The gambling component resonates with golfers, whether they play two dollar Nassau or five bucks a hole. We just played with a couple in the Gretzky circle who say his wife won’t step on the course for less than a $1,000 stake??

Golfers, gamblers and general moviegoers will enjoy the friendship and creativity that combine for a surprise ending. Is it worth the watch? You betcha!! Don’t miss it or you will miss out on the conversations that are bound to abound as a result of the story being told.

The Squeeze is now featured on iTunes Movie Trailers, Link: iTunes- The Squeeze It will be Available in Selected Theaters, VOD and iTunes, on April 17th, the Friday after the Masters.
